Changes to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
The Biden Administration just announced major positive changes to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. What has been a program full of great promise and dashed hopes will soon be much improved. For some of you, that means the possibility of $50,000 or more of loan forgiveness is closer to reality than ever before. For others, what has gone wrong may soon be made right. You can read about these positive changes here: Public Service Loan Forgiveness Overhaul.
We are working with NEA and NEA Member Benefits to schedule workshops/webinars to help you better understand how the changes impact you. Please stay tuned in for announcements as these workshops are scheduled and make sure to get registered.
In the meantime, if you want to get a head start, the NEA Member Benefits Student Debt Navigator is available to you at no cost for 12-months and will give you access to the experts who can answer questions and who will keep you up to date on the changes.
Please head to www.neamb.com/start and click on the “Need Help with Student Debt” tile to learn more. If you have not already registered on the NEA MB site, you will be asked to do so to verify NEA membership by entering your name and mailing address and creating a password.
