Fight for our Students Future—Override the Veto of HB 57

Urge legislators to override Governor Dunleavy’s veto and fund public education. Take action today.
A photo from the Raise the BSA rally focused on a woman in the crowd of marching members. She is wearing a grey coat, red hat, and red scarf with a smile as she looks to the horizon with a hopeful look in her eyes. A sign that says "Raise the BSA" is in one of her gloved hands.

Take Action

Urge legislators to override Governor Dunleavy’s veto and fund public education.

Funding for public education hasn’t been permanently increased in almost a decade. The legislature finally took action this year to increase the Base Student Allocation (BSA), but Governor Dunleavy has now vetoed the bill for a second time this year. We need your help to encourage legislators to override the Governor’s veto and fund public education for the future of Alaska students.

Last year, when the legislature attempted to increase education funding, the Governor also vetoed the bill. Pro-education lawmakers were only one vote short of an override. We can’t afford to fall short again. It’s time to take action. Let your legislators know: Alaskans overwhelmingly support fully funding our public schools.
