Conference Information

The Solidarity Summit will start on Friday, October 17th at 4:00 PM and run until Sunday, October 19th at 11:00 AM, so please make your travel arrangements accordingly. 

This year, AFN's Quyana Night falls on Friday, October 17th. If you wish to attend, NEA-Alaska members will be reimbursed for the cost of their tickets with receipt.

PARKING:  NEA-Alaska will reimburse your parking expenses up to $32 per day with receipts. 

  • There are no designated parking spots or special rates for this event but there is ample parking available at lots near The Captain Cook. 
  • You can check out a map of  public parking here. 

CONFERENCE MEALS:  NEA-Alaska will provide Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and Sunday breakfast. The local or member is responsible for all other meals not provided.

REIMBURSEMENT:  Receipts and all boarding passes must be attached to a completed reimbursement form and mailed or emailed to the Juneau office (Attn: Lynn Metcalfe 201 Main St #300 Juneau, AK 99801). Reimbursement forms for travel will be distributed electronically and available at Fall Event. Completed forms should be emailed to: [email protected]

The Four Steps of Registration:

Step 1: Local President Submits Team Names

  • Each local president will submit the names of the team members they wish to attend the conference.

Step 2: NEA-Alaska Sends Registration Link

  • After names are submitted, NEA-Alaska will send a unique registration link directly to those individuals.

Step 3: Each Person Registers Themselves

  • Every attendee must complete their own registration using this link.
  • Registration is not complete until this form is submitted.

Step 4: Book Travel and Lodging

  • Once you have successfully completed your individual registration, you may then proceed to book your travel.
  • Please do not book travel until your registration form is complete.

Following this order is important to ensure all attendees are officially registered and eligible for travel reimbursement.
