Each year NEA-Alaska recognizes outstanding members and external groups with the following award categories:
Honoring those who go above and beyond for education in Alaska

Hall of Fame Award

To honor those people who have made major contributions over their careers to NEA-Alaska as an organization.

ESP of the Year Award

The NEA-Alaska ESP of the Year is awarded to a non-certificated member of NEA-Alaska on an annual basis. This award is designed to recognize the outstanding contributions that individual members make to their schools, communities, and local associations.

Teacher of the Year Award

The purpose of the Teacher of the year award is to recognize excellence in the teaching profession in Alaska.

External Awards

Our External Awards celebrate the exceptional champions of education within the wider community. This category acknowledges those outside our membership who have significantly contributed to advancing education.
