Local Association Support

Resources to Support Your Local
The following programs and policies have been developed by the NEA-Alaska Board of Directors to provide various methods of support to local associations. If you have questions about any of the information provided below, please email [email protected] for additional guidance.
Below you will find a brief summary of each program with a link to a form to complete the process.

NEA-Alaska Local Incentive Rebate

Each local may apply for an annual $10.00 per member subsidy. Locals with less than twenty-five members will receive a subsidy of $250. Failure to transmit according to the dates specified will result in the loss of the subsidy for that period.

Request for Building Assistance

NEA-Alaska will financially assist any local with a full-time release president or a combination of locals with full-time release and part-time release presidents who own or rent office space outside of the three NEA-Alaska owned buildings.

Local Dues & Payroll Deduction Schedule

NEA-Alaska will use the information provided to update Join Now (online membership applications) with your local association’s membership dues amount. The information you provide helps ensure that new members are provided with accurate payroll deduction amounts for their membership dues.

I am a science teacher at Eagle River high school. I love getting to know my students, understanding them, and being able to understand what their needs are. That’s my favorite part of the school year.
