NEA-Alaska Canvas Class
March 22 @ 4:30 pm - April 28 @ 6:00 pm
NEA-Alaska is offering YOU the opportunity to take a Canvas course for UAA credit and earn a stipend upon completion of the course. This course is open to NEA-Alaska members ONLY.
This course will be conducted virtually from March 22-April 28, every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30-6:00 PM, with instructors and AEA members Dawn Anderson and Kevin Klott. There are only 60 spots available so please register quickly if you’d like to participate. There will be a waitlist created after the first 60 members have signed up.
Zoom meeting information will be sent in your confirmation shortly after registering.
During this course, students will be introduced to the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) while developing their own unit of study to be used in their online, face-to-face, or blended classroom. The course will cover basic and intermediate Canvas skills, such as navigating the LMS, and developing and posting original lessons in this digital learning platform.
The final project will be the completion of the Canvas unit of study, utilizing the provided module template for submission to the Alaska Commons.
Each Alaska district approves its UAA graded graduate credit differently. You will need to speak to your district or UniServ Director about how to get your credit approved for lane change for your participation.
