Delegate Assembly is NEA-Alaska’s annual meeting to set the direction for the organization by way of resolutions, new business items, legislative priorities, and approving the organization’s budget for the following year. Members from local associations across Alaska get together to discuss important issues they wish to have addressed by the statewide organization.
Parking
NEA-Alaska will reimburse your parking up to $32 per day with receipts. There are no special or discounted lots available.
Meals
NEA-Alaska will provide grab-n-go breakfast on Friday and Saturday mornings, and dinner on Saturday evening. All other meals will be on your own.
Delegates will be provided with a buffet-style dinner on Saturday evening while Delegate Assembly business continues. Delegates will be released by regions to go through the buffet line at The Pantry and will return to the ballroom until business is completed.
If you have any severe food allergies (other than vegetarian, gluten and dairy free), please contact [email protected]. All costs associated with meals not provided at DA will be the responsibility of the local and/or individual member.
Reimbursement
Based on your participation in Delegate Assembly, PARSA, and/or which local association you're a part of you will need to use a specific reimbursement form and follow the correct NEA-Alaska Policy.
Delegates should retain all boarding passes and receipts regardless of which reimbursement category they fall into. Alternatively, photos may be taken of all items necessary for reimbursement.

PARSA
PARSA – An invitation to ALL rural and small local associations! (Rural and small local associations are within Regions I, II and IV.)
When: Thursday, January 16th, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, prior to the start of General Session at Delegate Assembly 2025. Breakfast for PARSA attendees will be served in the Aft Deck between 7:15-9:00 AM.
Why: We strongly encourage delegates from rural and small locals (Regions I, II and IV) across the state to attend PARSA. This is an opportunity for delegates to come together to discuss and plan around common issues and to ensure their voices are heard within the larger delegation as statewide business is conducted.
Delegates attending PARSA should check-in with Steering & Rules between 7:15-8:30 AM, across from the Discovery Ballroom at the hotel to receive their credentials and DA notebook.
*Do not attend the New Delegate Welcome and Orientation if you are attending the PARSA work session. (The same information will be covered in both sessions.)
Choose the PARSA session choice as you register for Delegate Assembly, if you are in a local within Regions I, II & IV.
