NEA-Alaska Rights 101 Training will begin on Friday, September 27 at 5:00 p.m., and end on Saturday, September 28 at 4 p.m. The training will take place at the NEA-Alaska Office in Anchorage (4100 Spenard Road). NEA-Alaska will provide Friday's dinner, Saturday’s breakfast and lunch. Per diem will be provided for dinner on Saturday evening.

REGISTRATION:

To register for the training and request overnight accommodations, please fill out the Registration and Lodging form at the bottom of this page.

There is a maximum capacity of 40 attendees for this training.

Registration closes on September 12th, 2024.

LODGING:

You will receive hotel confirmation based on the information provided. If you have questions, please contact Susie Smythe at [email protected]. You will present your own credit card upon check-in for incidentals. The hotel will be “direct-billed” to NEA-Alaska. NEA-Alaska will reimburse up to 2 nights lodging (Friday & Saturday), in accordance with NEA-Alaska’s travel policy encouraging double occupancy.

AIRLINE TRAVEL:

NEA-Alaska will reimburse round-trip airfare (best possible fare prior to September 13th) to Anchorage to attend the Rights 101 Training. Remember to book your flights well enough in advance to qualify for the lower-cost fares. You must provide a copy of your itinerary. It needs to include how the ticket was paid. All boarding passes and the itinerary will be attached to your reimbursement form.

Please include cab receipts (from/to the airport) and if you share a cab, indicate their name(s) on the reimbursement form.

REIMBURSEMENT: 

Receipts must be attached to your completed travel reimbursement form and submitted to our Juneau office via snail mail: (Attn: Lynn Metcalfe 201 Main St #300 Juneau, AK 99801) OR sending the digital form to and digital receipts to: [email protected] reimbursement form will be provided at the training.

Participants are asked to bring the following items to maximize the productivity of the training:

  • A laptop computer or tablet with full keyboard functionality.
  • A copy of you local Association’s current collective bargaining agreement (We will have electronic copies available, not paper copies).
